KILNER JARS
Kilner is a U.K. company that began manufacturing canning jars in England in 1842. In addition to canning jars, this age-old company has more recently added decorative jars including clip-tops, drink dispensers, and swing-top bottles. They also manufacture a unique, hand-held butter churn and hand-held coffee grinder that we carry at the shop.

WECK JARS
Weck jars originated in Oflingen, Germany at the beginning of the 20th century. Though relatively new to home-canners in the United States, they have been used for preserving in Europe for over a century. Their beautiful shapes and variety of sizes also make them perfect for carrying lunch, making candles, storing items in the pantry, or using as drinking glasses. Weck jars are made from tempered glass, with rubber gaskets and two metal clamps. We also sell Weck plastic lids that are easy to take on and off.
Weck Mold Jars: The larger sized mold jars are easy to fill with their wide mouths. They fit well in pantry spaces to store preserves, grains, beans, and other staples. The small and mini sizes are popular for jams, baby food, and even baking mini cakes!
Weck Juice Jars: These jars have a classic shape that lends well to pouring liquids like milk or juice. They are also great for dressings, smoothies, or making and serving sun tea.
Weck Cylindrical Jars: These jars are great for preserving long vegetables like asparagus, beans, or cucumbers. Because they fit well on a shelf, the 1 Liter size are also great for pantry storage of things like beans and grains.
Weck Deco Jars: The unique curvy shape makes these jars popular for gifting. The Mini Deco jars are perfect for jam.
Weck Tulip Jars: The graceful shape of these jars and the wide, easy-to- fill mouth of the ½ Liter and 1 L sizes make this a popular type at the shop. The Mini Tulip jars are the perfect size and shape for preserving jams and jellies. Customers often buy these for preserves they intend to give as gifts.
